schools out for the summer {or until june 2nd}

that's right. a full year of "school" has come to an end. and i'd like to say that we won't be back until next fall- but that would be a bold faced lie. you {actually me and you} decided that summer school would be fun- so for most of june and july you'll head back for more fun. however, it's still hard to believe that this little guy finished his first official year of mom's day out. you've grown a lot over the last 8 mos little man- and we're so proud of you! this is you and miss angela..... we love her! she is such a good teacher. we are really hoping you get to be with her this summer.

at the end of the year they have a bike parade and you got to bring your trike from grandma and grandpa h and decorate it. i think this was the most fun part for you.

this is pretty much how you sat for the parade. miss sandy, another one of the teachers for the 2's/3's had to pull you around. it should be noted here that the older kiddos had to follow the younger ones and at one time you were TOTALLY holding the line up. i mean there were other moms talking about the boy in yellow with plaid shorts holding up the line. i was so proud :) way to make yourself known!!

for the love of a ducky

what's bath time without ducky time? that is what ains thinks anyway. she loves her a little yellow ducky. we have a purple one and a pink one- but none is as "loved" {read here: chewed on and devoured} as the yellow one. and all thanks to grandma gail. i think she must have a thing for ducks. enjoy her rolls- we sure do!!! and to think i am worried that she won't eat baby food and prefers to simply nurse. i guess she's getting enough??

seriously......

.......i love him. more than i could ever begin to tell him. even on the difficult days {and i am told these are the easy ones}, he is still the best little guy and big brother in the world. ains is a lucky little girl. and seriously {again}.......

......could there be a bigger smile, more rolls, or happier baby in the whole world??? i just love her. there is nothing else to say. i can't remember a day when i was not a mom, and definitely not when i didn't have this little chunk of love to squeeze. all. the. time.

it's the most fabulous privilege in the entire world. that i was chosen to be their mom. thanks, you two, for making me a mommy. here's to lots more fun, learning and of course millions more pictures!!!

band-aids and kisses

my best attempt at a mother's day pictures with my kiddos. thanks to auntie katy for snapping this one. candid ones are the best we can do these days! we had a great day- aaron surprised me with this fabulous bracelet from the vintage pearl that i had casually mentioned i liked, then brunch with nana and papa, auntie lisa and uncle jeff, auntie katy and jeremy at my most favorite brunch place- nick & jakes, and then hung out with nana and papa at their house. i can not begin to explain how fabulous it is to be fortunate to live so close to family. there really are no words. if only all our family lived so close..... that said- we are really, really, really going to miss auntie katy and jeremy when they move to texas later this month. i hear it's a short flight down though- so anyone want to take a trip???

random question though- why is it that to a 2 year old- a kiss and the amazing bandaid (a thomas bandaid would be all that much better) is all one needs to heal all owies? i am going to try that sometime- to see if it really helps. so- don't be surprised when i ask you to kiss my owie. which i will inevitably follow with a request for a princess bandaid.

and actually- i got a new lens for my camera- so really i was just practicing up for my photo shoot for this little guy. his mommy likes the blurry background pics. i'm working on it kristin!!! :)

outside playtime

you're brother's pretty good to you, most of the time. he brings you toys, shares his lovey with you {often because he has stolen yours.....he has a thing for your pink lovey}, talks to you, and most recently tries to pick you up~off the floor. what your brother doesn't realize quite yet is that he is not that much bigger than you. and let's face it- your mommy isn't much bigger than your brother so that makes sense. none the less- we're pretty happy in our little people world :)

so close to crawling

you're so, so close little lady to getting your move on. but, alas, you are only heading backwards at this time. you can scoot, roll and lunge yourself to where you need to be- it just takes you a little longer. and you get frustrated. soon baby girl- you'll be moving all over the place and then we're really in trouble!

someone's growing up....

well, this is noah.

and this is noah a little over 2 years later.

i think he's done some growing. and we've gotten a little sassier, and a little funnier, and most definitely a little sweeter and snugglier. and he's one of two reasons that being a momma is the best thing in the world. happy mother's day to everyone. we love you!

and it wouldn't be a post without the other reason being a momma is so great....

how's your form?

so- do you think her daddy is proud?? pretty good form for a rolly-polly little girl. here's her latest attempt at getting closer to crawling. she's tryin' with all she's got! she just can't get the forward motion down. too bad all the things she wants to get to are in front of her instead of behind.

we took some 8 month pics today- but we'll be re-doing them. this was the best of the best- which if i do say so myself.....she is stinkin adorable! happy weekend :)
