august to august.....

not sure how, but this sweet little girl is '1'.....so here is her year in review......in a few pictures. you know, cause i like to take pictures. don't say i didn't warn you- there are lots.

{and baby ains would like me to thank all of you for her birthday wishes.....she loves you all lots and lots!!}

ahhh, such a good little laundry do-er. i suppose the up-side is that it wasn't just washed, dried and folded. if an especially sweet someone is going to take all my laundry out of the basket- better that it's dirty, right?

i think i'd like to wear these tomorrow. i'm sure noah won't mind.....

more birthday girl-i-ness

more birthday girl-i-ness. auntie lisa made this birthday tutu for this birthday girl. can't wait to take some more pics of her in this one with perhaps some birthday balloons to match.....

for christi.....

really.......is she almost oNe?? i'm not sure how, but in a mere 2 days she will be. and oh.my.gosh.....it has gone too fast. we have lots and lots of pics from the big birthday bash to share- but i'm waiting until her real birthday to post them. for my sake really. sigh. she's such an amazing gift to us, and so almost 1. still can't believe it. we're loving all her girl-i-ness.....

meet pippy, the milking cow

what will we ever do if deanna rose closes??? we are literally there at least twice a week- if not more. might just be the best place ever- and did i mention free?? for sure, it IS the best place ever. and with all the rain we had last week it was still a little wet there, but we found some dry spots and made the best of it. together rachel and i have decided that if we simply pack snacks, noah and maggie will be content wherever we go. maybe. most likely anyway.

we made it just in time to see the 10:00 milking of pippy the milking cow. did you know she makes 5 GALLONS of milk for her "morning milking"??? well, now you do. she's quite the cow. the two watched intently for about 5 minutes, and then the search for snacks began.....

and the snacks are found.....

working on mastering their matching side smiles. tough feat with a mouth full of said snacks. they really are two peas in a pod.

kidding aside, we literally stopped every 10 minutes at various locations throughout the farm for more snacks. ridiculous. but funny all the same.
and these 2 sweet babies? happy and content to be pushed around in the stroller for the morning. eating their own snacks, of course.

farm fun with "gertin and gertin"

with baby a's big birthday bash this past weekend we had lots of family in town which equals lots of fun for the kiddos. first up was a trip to deanna rose with, that's right, "gertin and gertin", who you and i might refer to as "grandma and grandpa".....for some reason completely unknown to me noah can not say 'grandma' or 'grandpa'. if we break it up and say "grand" and then "ma" he can do it- put them together though and it's totally lost. makes for a sweet nick name though. we had a great time though and couldn't have asked for better weather this weekend.

swung on the big swing together

and shared some big giggles with grandpa

'after dinner do'

doesn't matter what we have for supper......it ends up in her hair. because she puts it there. sweetheart that she is. so, short of a bath every night which i plain don't have time for, we run a washcloth through there and hope for the best. and until it dries- here's what we're left with. enjoy this almost one year old- we sure are!

auntie+book+tent=fun

ahhhh, such a lucky little man to have this auntie so close by, and it would only be better if both aunties were close by. but while katy's enjoying the warmer weather in texas, auntie lisa is here doin' the auntie thing. and she does it well i might add. noah loves, loves, loves to spend time with her and always has a great time. here they built a sweet tent outside by the pool and enjoyed a few stories together before the rain started.
