do you like my hat?

we had a's 3 month pics taken by the amazing allyson- and here is just a little preview of what's to come. she does the best job ever- and i only wish i was this good! this was of course the day she decided to roll- so towards the end we did all pics on her back. she's lookin pretty sharp considering that pesky cold she can't seem to get rid of.... and the hat- i LOVE it. my great friend elizabeth gave it to her- and it was perfect for her picture day! i can't wait to see the rest! you can see some others at her website: http://web.me.com/blinkimages/Blink_Photography/Home.html and click on 'blog'

little miss marler

a few weeks ago i got to be a part of this little peanut's big arrival. angela is a good friend of ours and she asked me to be a part of her big day. it's my absolute favorite part of being a labor and delivery nurse- getting to be there when these little miracles arrive. i mean really- what could be better? anyway- i was so blessed to be a part of such a special day for their family. and then i got to snuggle her more when i took some newborn pics for her. here are a few of my favorites. thanks marler family for letting me be a part of such a special day- and let me just say miss molly (yep- that's her name :) is the sweetest little girl.

check out my new moves!

why is that in my face again???
pretty sure i'm not gonna like what's happening here.....

i guess i better go with it cause i don't quite know how to stop
finally, i think it's over
and now i am stuck on my back- which i HATE. help me please?

this sweet little girl started rolling all over the place today. just in time for her 3 month pics. we tried to keep her still, but after she did it for the first time there was no stopping her. much to her dismay each roll ends the same- with her on her back and a camera in her face. such is the life, right?
p.s.- excuse the awful bright lighting- i am working on not using the flash. not so good at it though when my "subject" is moving...... so i had to use the dreaded flash.

just because

..... she looks so cute in her tubby i thought i'd share with you. i just want to squeeze her and snuggle her every minute. is that a problem??? i can hardly blame her need to be held on her- because i am pretty sure i started it. that's right- i held her when she was really small {all the time}, rocked her to sleep, i let her sleep in our bed, and i still hold her anytime i can. know what though- i wouldn't change a minute of it. someday i won't be able to so i am enjoying every minute of it. and she loves it too! besides- who could resist that face, those chubby cheeks and that snuggly little body??

is there a size limit on the bumbo?

who says you can't watch thomas from the bumbo... anyone see a problem with that?

3 months vs. 3 months

what do you think?

are they related? noah seems to win out in the hair department, but i think ains may be a bit bigger? they both definately have my cheeks. poor kiddos :)

hanging out with auntie lisa

we love hanging out with auntie lisa.... and she usually spoils us with extra snuggles, thomas movies and yummy snacks. we are so lucky to have her close to us and be able to spend so much time with her. thanks auntie lisa for stopping by to see us all the time and for all the extra snuggles. we love you!!

first "real" snow

the white stuff finally blanketed our area earlier this week- and noah couldn't get enough of it as long as he and no part of his body had to touch it. he apparently has a fear of snow. we were in iowa for thanksgiving- and he physically would not walk in anything snow related and had to be carried across it. hopefully this will pass. if it would ever stay around long enough maybe we could get him out there to play in it.

trust me... he doesn't want out!

growing fast....

while i excitedly await each new stage that ains gets into i am still sad to see the last one go. it has gone so much faster already than it ever did with noah so i am trying to savor each minute. i squeezed her chunky little legs into this sleeper (one of my favorites) far longer than i should have- it was practically a scoopneck when she stretched out her legs- but she didn't seem to mind! added bonus- i was at kohl's the other day and they had this exact sleeper on sale in the 9 mos size so i had to snatch it up quick- it won't be the same- but it will be close.
should have probably moved her out of these diapers a few weeks ago- but we had some size ones left and everyone knows these aren't cheap! there may have been a few extra blowouts because of it- but oh well. something about 'size 2' seems too big.
and my favorte onesie- i love whoever invented them! she is officially moved up to the 3 mos size and we've tucked these away (for the next one :)

3 months (plus a few weeks....)

your three month birthday came and went and you slept most of it away. you had one nasty cold that is still holding on- though not as bad anymore. we even had to change our thanksgiving plans since you were so sick. it's great though to have our happy baby back! at three months you are laughing, smiling and giggling all the time. you especially love your big brother- and he mostly loves you back- though sometimes his "loving" is a little rougher than we'd like. such is boys right? you weigh just under 13 pounds and are quickly outgrowing all sorts of things. since that nasty cold you have officially gone on a bottle strike.... that equals fun times for nana and daddy when mommy is at work. good thing that's not too often or you might not be as chubby! we're hoping you'll get back to it here soon. there's no doubt though that you have your very own opinions about things. so needless to say you are pretty much attached to my hip- and that's just fine with me.

your "official" three month picture
three months (plus a few days)
where your hands usually are......
didn't think i'd let a month pass without pics of these so, so cute tootsies did you?

sleep is sleep right??

so while i thought noah was eating lunch, this is actually what he escaped from the table to do. could be worse right? now the question remains- do i move him to bed and risk waking him up or do i let him sleep there and hope that nothing wakes him up???

p.s. i know i need to vacuum..... and dust, and mop, and all other boring things that cleaning the house entails. but, i'm busy blogging :) so it will have to wait.

chunky cheeks and a mohawk

it's no secret that auntie lisa loves a baby with a mohawk- and she is often the one to give said baby a mohawk.... and so below is you miss ains.... with a mohawk after your bath courtesy of your auntie lisa. i think you liked it. actually, i know you did cause you giggled for a long time after this. that's your new thing- giggling. so sweet. it's my new favorite sound. i'd like to tape it and carry it around in my pocket. i might try that- we'll see. so here is the first of our newest updates. that's the plan for nap time tomorrow- blog updating. is that really an activity? in my world it is. and i also have some pics of a sweet new baby in our lives to share. hard to believe this chunk below was ever a tiny little baby. enjoy her sweet chunkiness.....

many faces of noah

you are a little man of many faces- and they are all full of personality. these days i often wonder how many more trains one could fit into two little hands? you are so much fun to watch and we learn a lot from you every day. you have changed and grown so fast! we love you so much little buddy- or little puppy as daddy calls you. (don't ask me why he calls you that cause i have NO idea!)

cousin lovin (relatively speaking)

out of 7 shots this is the best one i came up with- i need to learn how to use my photoshop and then i could have just selected the best of each one of you! that will happen someday with all the spare time i have for sure.....
you got lots and lots of snuggles from isabell. she's gonna teach you the ropes- that's for sure. you should know we call her the sass-a-frass..... except daddy- he calls her "scazantabell" just to make her mad. that's what daddy does- he antagonizes her. she's wising up though- not too long before isabell comes up with a good one for daddy!

this is how noah and eli spent the weekend- or needed to spend the weekend. they are close enough in age to enjoy the same toys- which translates to fighting all the time..... someday you 2 will be inseperable- and getting into all sorts of trouble. until then- thank god for the inventor of baby gates.

i mostly just love elijah's face in this one..... very eli!

thanks for coming down mascarenas family- it was great getting the kids together and we are thankful that you were a part of ainsley's big day.

random photos and such....

so there is no rhyme or reason to these pics- just some times i want to make sure to remember from the last few weeks.

hanging with uncle jeff

your sweet little face- and the pink lovey that your big brother claims to be his...

"patiently" waiting for papa to open up your birthday gift- we have decided in the future to avoid major meltdowns that packages will be opened and put together before wrapping. this should save some of our sanity. also worth mentioning- why are these things always screwed into the plastic wrappings- i mean seriously- the people who invented that must not have children!

let me help you papa......

revisiting my days as a baby- before that little pink bundle steals this from me too...... his legs were bent at the knees so he could fit. i can't believe he is so big already!

learning to love the bottle that you get when i go to work... it has taken you some time to get used to it. however, now you seem to be holding it with quite a grip.... your splotchy face would be the results of your bath- you have even more sensitive skin than your brother.
