easter catch up....and one heck of a hair-do!

here is easter morning at our house, in some random order- but blogger irritates me when it comes to re-arranging pics so i'm leaving them as is. and i'm lazy. it's true. and let's face it- you all already know it :) anyway....back to the reason for this post. we had a great easter morning at home with just the fam. this was the first "easter egg hunt" that noah actually participated in- and he had zero competition since his sister is at present time a little slower than him. however, let it be known that she made some solid attempts to get on the move to get those eggs! the best part of the morning other than the pure joy and excitement in his eyes when he came downstairs....was that crazy hair of his. serious horn on the front of his head. it took a lot of water and combing to get that calmed down for church that morning. anyway, it was great and we really look forward to teaching him and seeing both of them truly understand the real reason for the easter season. somehow in the business of the day i failed miserably to get a picture of them in their easter outfits. i was upset....but i have made peace now and maybe next year i'll get it!

grabbing the goods
filling the pail
enjoying the goods
the best 'together' pic i could get
slim here got lots of food in her basket....the bunny must not have known of her disgust with finger foods. let's just say that the chewy blocks that were in her basket have been a bigger hit than the food. however, we did find a few new mixes that she loves.... finally!

all done- and feeling great!

well, i had a rough start this morning, but now i am all better. i was not a fan of waiting to eat. mommy woke me up at 11:50 last night to nurse me at the last possible moment before i wasn't going to be aloud to eat- and i think she thought that would trick me. but it didn't. i woke up promptly at 5:00 this morning wanting my snack, and i was not happy when i didn't get it. here i am all ready to go....and still hungry

how i feel about 'npo after midnight'

my pretty outfit for the surgery. i look pretty good don't i?

me and daddy

me and mommy. in this picture i am still mad at her for not feeding me.
snuggles with daddy before the nurse took me out

all done! it was so fast and i woke up really well from the gas. the nurse said i laid on my back in a ball and they really had to wrestle my tootsies out of my mouth so they could put the mask on my face. even when i was asleep i was still curled up in a ball. they were all giggling about it when they took me out to see mommy and daddy. i got to eat right away and then we headed home.

this is how mommy and i spent the morning. daddy played the wii while we slept. what else to do when you have the morning off??
and this is how i feel now..... so much happier and all smiles! thanks everyone for saying prayers for me- i'm sending you lots of slobbery kisses and hugs! love, ainsley

sayin' some prayers

.....for this sweet girl who gets her tubes put in tomorrow morning. i know, and have been told, that this isn't a big thing and that she'll be back in my arms before i know it- however- she's still my baby and it's my job to worry. plus i think the nurse/mom combo always makes it worse. so, if you could, give an extra shout to the big man upstairs for this little girl we would be so thankful. we'll let you know how it went once we get back home.

photo from allyson of course!

the day half our tree fell down

because i just happen to love this weather {or NOT} i thought i'd share it with you. this is what we woke up to a few weeks ago.....lots of ice and then some extra snow on top. perfect. so, the boys bundled up and headed out. and in the morning....the branch with the swing on it, and another one from the side were laying on the ground. being typical of our weather here, aaron was outside that afternoon bundling all that up. i'm sure he thoroughly enjoyed that part, too.
not quite sure about all this.....
not sure who had more fun- daddy or noah?
they built this lovely "snow-woman"- how appropriate aaron. at least the front of her faced our house and she melted quickly. impressive little lady.

this little snuggler and i stayed warm inside taking pics
and what does one do after all that snow and ice? get a sitter for the kiddos, have some good food and a few good games of bowling with some great friends!

and pretend we're 12 again!

ready, set, jump

more to share from our trip to grandma and grandpa's.... sidenote: i want one of these in my back yard. he had so, so much fun!

i think the hair really helped get some air time here

a perfect landing
almost
and then we headed home.

random snapshots....{and an excessive amount of quotations for fun}

so, apparently i took a lot of pictures when we visited grandma and grandpa that i had already forgot about. so, when i was uploading the pics to shutterfly....imagine my excitement. and a friendly reminder of what nice weather looks like. and i think i'll take it back anytime now. any other takers? we've got a lot of deanna rosin' to do this spring- so i need the sun and warm temps back......stat!!
train track is optional when sissy is around
my baby stealin' sister.....just wait auntie eish- my snuggle stealin time will be here someday :)
2 lucky little girls (well, one of us is still little)
cause you know much i love to take pictures of her hands and feet
a little lovin from auntie eish (ironically, noah has come a long way in the past few weeks saying 'lisa', but she now prefers to be called 'eish') very "teacherly" right?
just plain love her
what would a family pic be without thomas- who is affectionately known at our house simply as "train"- won't even attempt to say the name thomas. um......ok?
playtime

we heart chick-fil-a

it's no secret....we love chick-fil-a. hands down our first choice for a quick lunch or dinner. and yeah for us- it's family night every tuesday. which means free food and activities for noah and some down time for mommy!! their play area is always clean, they have table toppers for the kiddos, worth while activities for the kids meals, they refill your drinks and bring them back to you....the list goes on and on. zoe and i and the babies have spent many a wednesday afternoons there all afternoon! this week they had the easter bunny there and noah was all over him {or her??}. much to my surprise. the little man won't look at santa, let alone entertain the idea of standing in close proximity to him, so i was a little shocked. maybe it was because his girlfriend maggie wasn't afraid. that's little maggs there devouring her ice cream cone, and her big brother zach. not pictured with the bunny though were the three little babies also enjoying our evening at chick-fil-a. ainsley, caroline and luke enjoyed some chatting from their high chairs amongst themselves.

mid sentence i think.....
big brother
the friendly lady visiting our table who works there referred to this little girl as a boy on more than one occasion. not sure why- anyone out there with a boy think he wants to borrow her sweater?

7 months

so here you are at 7 months. and you are just a happy little camper. you love, love, love your big brother except when he gives you "really big hugs" cause you usually get squeezed pretty hard. he's learning though. we're still working on the food thing, but that's ok. you seem to be gaining well none the less- and you have the cheekers to prove it! you are a little snuggler, which is opposite your big brother. and at night we sing 'you are my sunshine' and once round 2 starts you are out. and sometimes if i sing it to you during the day, you fall asleep on my chest. my most favorite time. you are such a sweet baby girl, and we are thankful every day to have you in our lives. we love you oh so very much!

half of a half {and that's progress folks}

we're making progress little lady.....you ate half a jar of sweet potatoes, which is more than you ever have, and i think half of that half actually went into your tummy. the other half was smeared on your face, bib, hands, etc. we'll take it though. it's a start. again. for the 3rd time. as you have refused all but breastmilk.

and we finished it off with some good clean fun in the tubby. it's literally a matter of days before you outgrow this tub. and let's face it- you may have outgrown it yesterday.... but i'm holdin' on. only you, your ducky (which you are destroying), mommy and the camera.

it was a good night.
