ainsley catch up.....

this little miss is getting too big way too fast. she's no doubt the sweetest little sister, snuggliest little girl and sometimes, just sometimes, sports an attitude like nothing else. a lover of her pink lovey, she takes it everywhere. holds it and snuggles it like we do her.

she's cruisin' around like she's been doing it forever,
starting to make her opinion known,

and slowly, but surely, discovering just exactly who she is going to be.

she loves all things that are her brother's

even his new thomas helmet {which of course, he hates!}

has a smile that will melt your heart,

and the deepest, happiest laugh that makes us laugh right along with her each and every time.

fall catch up

grandma and grandpa h. came and visited for noah's birthday weekend- and lots of fun we did have. had to cancel the big birthday bash thanks to some lingering colds and yucky coughs, but we'll get to that in a few weeks! grandma and grandpa brought a cover for the wagon that we think will be perfect next summer. we love taking walks in the wagon- and this just makes it that much better!

a trip to the pumpkin patch in the afternoon was lots of fun. we found a few pumpkins perfect for carving, snapped a few "token" pumpkin shots and called it good. we love having grandparents visit!!

still lovin' it......

not much to say.....she clearly still loves the swing. and we're lovin' that it was nice enough for a brief day outside last weekend. here's hoping it stays that way for halloween tomorrow!!

the best of friends

what do you do when it's too cold out to finish up a 'sisters in tutus outside downtown' photo session? well, you head to crown center for some lunch and free for all running time! you can do a lot with an open play area and 5 kiddos......and you can also make a lot of noise- which these 5 kiddos did so proudly. we love the flannery family- and always have such good times.

me to rachel: "wouldn't it be cute if we could get a picture of all the kiddos lined up holding hands?" rachel to me: "yeah, let's set that up. get the camera ready." ainsley to the rest of us: "actually, no, i think that is a terrible idea and i will not hold hands with anyone, even my bff, caroline."

"i will not conform.....no matter what you say. these hands are not to be held!"

"yeah, i don't think i want to hold her hand. in fact, i don't want to hold anyone's hand! but- look at me!"

and they're off......again......

i may have......

.......completely ignored the fact that it was chilly, and failed to dress my kiddos accordingly for a picture taking session downtown for maggie and caroline. thus, they had to make do with what we had available. which was maggie's coat and hat for noah and caroline's coat for ains. he's not afraid of a little pink and red, let me tell you. he wore it well, and found no problem with such situation. thank goodness rachel has it together and we were able to borrow from her!!!

it was really cold. and windy. i promise- so does miss ainsley. she kept warm though.

"really mom, i can't run across the street where the 'train tracks' are?" {i.e. lines on the road for cars}.....um, no my friend in polka dots, you can not.

it's those blue eyes i tell you, they get me every time.

fall + cider mill + local cider fest = cider slush = L.O.V.E.

the local cider mill......my new FAVORITE place to be. cider slush? seriously.....i should have thought of that earlier. it is amazing- and i'd like to drink it all day long. although my body says that's too much sugar- i'd like to defy it and go for it anyway. who's in???? anyway, the kiddos had a great time when we headed "south" for the festival.

miss isabell.....the best cousin ains could have asked for. no shortage of lovin for her when isabell is around- that's for sure! they adore each other- see why we can't wait to go back??

i'm pretty sure this is what ains was thinking to herself----- "since no one else seems to be interested in using this sweet seat, i think i'll take up some reading on the throne....it's just my size."

trouble

these two are quite the pair. they have a love-hate relationship of sorts. one minute- best buddies, scheming up trouble to get into, doin' boy stuff. the next- noah is informing eli of his "rights" and "not-rights" regarding all things. noah really is a bossy thing. only six months younger, eli can hold his own, that's for sure. we had a fantastic time visiting them a few weeks ago, and really can't wait to head back for christmas!

it's hard to believe that this sweet boy could be any sort of trouble, yeah?
